Named after the Tuckaseegee Ford, a historical trading route which crossed the Catawba River at the USNWC, this open water swim will feature two different distances: a one-lap, sprint triathlon distance (.75k), and a two-lap, Olympic triathlon distance (1.5k). This race is not intended for recreational swimming (ie: playing in the water). Swimmers should be confident in their own abilities as this is a self-assisted race in the open waters of a natural river. In order to participate, swimmers are required to bring their own brightly colored swim cap. Wetsuits are not required, but are allowed.
